Education is everything. Community Friends began in school communities and education has always been our foundation. Climate solutions also start with education. The more we understand the science about our world, the more informed we are about the challenges and the better prepared we are with solutions to meet these challenges. A well-informed society means higher-quality decision making and likely improved local and global government collaboration to meet our climate challenges.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Focusing on the education of girls is a pathway out of poverty by providing better economic opportunities. Money is power and when women control more of the money in a family, they often have more control over every aspect of their lives including family planning which means smaller families. Smaller families are a climate solution. Financial self-sufficiency compounds for future generations.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We support climate change education through scholarships and our Carbon Game program which thousands of students have attended in four countries. We believe that educating the next generation about carbon concentrations, conservation and mitigation is one of the greatest impacts we can have in our work.
